Streptavidin-Displaying E. coli Scaffolds Enable Target-Mediated Gold Nanoparticle Assembly for Colorimetric Biosensing
Enhancing the visual detection sensitivity of point-of-care (POC) optical sensors without resorting to complex, multistep chemical or enzymatic signal amplification remains a major challenge in sensor nanotechnology. Here, we present a multifunctional bio-nanostructured hybrid platform that integrates engineered…

Atomically dispersed ruthenium on magnetic layered double hydroxide nanozyme for a multi-mode aptasensor enabling highly sensitive kanamycin detection
Kanamycin residues in food pose health risks due to their ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, and antimicrobial resistance promotion. This work reports a multi-mode aptasensor combining atomically dispersed ruthenium-doped magnetic layered double hydroxide (RuSA/MLDH) with exonuclease I-assisted amplification. RuSA/MLDH…

Peptide-Enabled Nanoplatforms for Malaria and Leishmaniasis: From Intracellular Targeting to Translational Diagnostic Perspectives
Malaria and leishmaniasis continue to impose a substantial health burden, while current therapeutic and diagnostic strategies remain limited by toxicity, prolonged regimens, drug resistance, and restricted field applicability. This review examines recent advances in peptide-enabled nanoplatforms for both diseases,…

ZnO-based nanostructures at the biological interface: a review of bioreceptor coupling for healthcare diagnostics and therapeutics
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures are a highly versatile class of solid-state materials with functional utility in bio-interfacial architectures, governed by the coordination chemistry of surface Zn(II) sites. Bridging the gap between inorganic nanoplatforms and complex biological environments requires a sophisticated…

High-fidelity genotyping and therapeutic oligonucleotides analysis by liquid-phase ion trap coupled with mass spectrometry
Rapid and accurate nucleic acid analysis is essential for disease diagnostics and drug development, yet persistent metal cation interference severely limits mass spectrometry’s effectiveness. We developed a liquid-phase ion trap (LPIT) system that utilizes strong electric fields to simultaneously dissociate metal…

Harmonizing amplification and cleavage kinetics through crRNA scaffold mutation enables robust one-pot CRISPR–Cas12 diagnostics
CRISPR-based diagnostics (CRISPR-Dx) integrated with isothermal nucleic acid amplification have emerged as a promising strategy for point-of-care molecular testing. Their practical deployment, however, remains constrained by workflow-related limitations. Conventional two-step formats are laborious and highly…

Disease Biomarker Detection Using Fluorescence Polarization Assays: Principles and Clinical Applications
Modern clinical diagnostics require highly sensitive, rapid, and technologically simple methods for quantitatively determining biomarkers directly at the patient's bedside. Fluorescence polarization (FP) meets these criteria, as it enables the homogeneous recording of an analytical signal based on changes in the…

Aptamer modified NPA hollow nanozymes with intrinsic peroxidase-like activity for colorimetric sensing of H1N1
A colorimetric sensor based on aptamer-functionalized nanozyme probes was successfully developed for the sensitive and specific detection of influenza A (H1N1) virus. In this study, trimetallic nickel-palladium-gold hollow nanozymes (NPA) with excellent peroxidase (POD)-like activity were used as catalytic probes.…

An interface-engineered signal-on electrochemical aptasensor for H5N2 avian influenza virus detection
Outbreaks of avian influenza virus (AIV) cause substantial economic losses in the poultry industry, highlighting the need for sensitive, reliable and field-adaptable detection platforms. In this study, we report a signal-on electrochemical aptasensor for avian influenza virus H5N2(K08-404) by translating a previously…

Strategies for biofilm disruption: Mechanisms, polymeric networks, mixed infections, and emerging biomaterials
Biofilms represent the predominant microbial lifestyle in clinical and environmental settings, where the extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) matrix provides structural integrity, metabolic cooperation, and pronounced antimicrobial tolerance. This matrix forms a dynamic macromolecular network of polysaccharides,…

High-Throughput On-Chip Screening Enables Rapid Adaptation of DNA Aptamers to SARS-CoV-2 Evolution
Rapid pathogen evolution threatens public health by eroding the effectiveness of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostic tools. Although spike-protein-targeting monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) were developed within 10-12 months of the initial outbreak to serve as key theranostic agents, their redesign has struggled to…

Signatures of the neutralizing dengue virus-reactive memory B cell repertoire identified by multiplexed envelope dimer probes
Sequential dengue virus (DENV) infection is thought to induce long-lived protection against dengue. However, little is known about the specificity, phenotype, and repertoire of the enduring B cell response due to limitations in high-throughput methods. We used stabilized DENV envelope (E) dimers as probes for in-depth…

How this list is built · 这份榜单怎么来的
Sources. PubMed, OpenAlex and bioRxiv are polled daily for aptamer-related publications; records are de-duplicated by DOI.
Topic filter. A paper enters this list when its title or abstract matches any of: SARS-CoV-2, COVID*, influenza, HIV, HBV, HCV, tuberculosis, Mycobacterium, Ebola, Zika, Dengue, bacterial infect*, viral infect*, pathogen detect*, antimicrobial, antibiotic resist* (SQLite FTS5, case-insensitive, * is a prefix wildcard). A paper can belong to several topics.
Ranking. composite = 0.45×log(IF) + 0.35×log(citation velocity) + 0.10×social + 0.10×recency, scaled to 100. Citation velocity is citations per day since publication, so a recent paper accruing citations quickly can outrank an older one with a larger total. The recency term decays linearly to zero at 30 days, so anything older than a month is ranked on impact and citation velocity alone — this list therefore tilts towards recent work by design.
What this is not. The ranking is computed from metadata — journal impact factor, citation counts, recency — not from reading the papers. It is a triage aid for deciding what to read, not a quality judgement or a substitute for a systematic review. Impact factor is missing for some venues (preprints in particular) and those papers score lower than their content may deserve.
