1. Who is responsible责任主体

zxiaohan.com is the personal site of Xiaohan Zhang, an individual in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It also carries the pages of RBTX Technology and Psi and the four free research tools. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].

AptaPilot accounts, the Launcher and the licensed desktop software are covered by the AptaPilot Privacy Policy. The aptapilot.com site has its own notice.

2. What is recorded记录哪些信息

When you open a page打开页面时

• A page-view counter of our own. Each page sends one record: the page path, the host name of the site that referred you (if any), your country as worked out by our hosting provider, the browser's user-agent string, the time, and a visitor code. The code is a shortened hash of your IP address, user-agent and the date. Your IP address is not stored, and because the date is part of it, the code changes every day and visits cannot be linked from one day to the next. No cookie or other identifier is placed in your browser.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, measures page loads and performance in aggregate. It uses no cookies and does not build visitor profiles.
• Delivery and security. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to serve pages and to block abusive traffic.

When you write to us联系我们时

The contact forms on the tool pages take your name, your email address and your message. With each submission we also record the IP address, user-agent, country and time, so that abuse can be dealt with. Before a form is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the sender is not a bot. The submission is stored with Cloudflare and a copy is delivered to our mailbox. Email sent to an address at this domain is forwarded to the same mailbox.

• Kd Fitting Tool runs entirely in your browser. The data you paste is not uploaded. It keeps your interface-language choice in the browser's local storage.
• Desktop tools process your sequences and files on your own computer. Downloads are counted by tool, platform and country; no IP address is kept with the count.
• Search on the aptamer tracker sends your query to our server to return results. Queries are not stored.
• RSS feeds need no sign-up.

Other services your browser contacts浏览器会联系的其他服务

Some pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, the CV page reads citation data from OpenAlex, and pages with a form load Cloudflare Turnstile. Those providers receive your IP address when your browser fetches their files. Links to publishers, Google Scholar, YouTube and other sites take you to services with their own policies.

部分页面从 Google Fonts 加载字体，简历页从 OpenAlex 读取引用数据，带表单的页面会加载 Cloudflare Turnstile；浏览器获取这些文件时，对方会收到你的 IP 地址。指向出版商、Google Scholar、YouTube 等外部网站的链接，适用对方各自的政策。

3. Why, and on what basis用途与依据

Page-view and download counts tell us which pages and tools are used, and request data keeps the site running and secure. Where the GDPR applies, this rests on our legitimate interest in operating the site. Messages are used to answer you and to follow up on what you asked for, which rests on your request. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.

4. Where it is kept, and for how long存储地点与保留期限

The site, its forms and its counters run on Cloudflare, whose network operates in many countries, and our mailbox is hosted by a third-party email provider. Your information may therefore be processed outside your own country, including in Canada and the United States.

• Page-view records hold no name, email or IP address and are kept as statistics.
• Download counts are kept for about three months.
• Messages are kept for as long as the conversation or the resulting work is active, and deleted on request.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to [email protected] from the address concerned. Page-view records cannot be traced back to a person, so there is normally nothing in them we can look up for you. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under PIPEDA (Canada), the GDPR (EU/UK) or PIPL (China), including the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
